Paul McAllester

I am Paul. I was raised in the Chicago area and am currently based in Brooklyn, New York. While I was always interested in art, my true education began while getting a minor in studio art from the University of Wisconsin Madison. After graduation, I lived for two years in Peru as a Peace Corps volunteer where I continued to develop a passion for both painting and writing. Now living in New York, I continue to study painting at The New York Students Art League and work to better my craft. I like art that is sincere and focused on feeling. In paintings I am motivated by color and gesture. Thematically I am interested in the relationship between the artist and the subject. Above all I like art that feels human. I will use this site to share my art as well as make paintings and prints available for purchase. Your support is greatly appreciated.
